Here we are in March already...
February’s deep-freeze is starting to ease up, as witnessed by the return of the local Merlins—and hopefully the Robins soon, too. It won’t be long now before baseball’s in full swing and we’re watching the Blue Jays try and make one last go of it before we (possibly? likely? sadly?) say goodbye to Vladdy…😢
Speaking of baseball: I’ve been tinkering away at a series celebrating the sports’ historic presence in London—we’ve got the world’s oldest baseball diamond in Labatt’s Memorial Park—and I can’t wait to show you more. Drop me a line if you want a sneak peek, eh?! 👀

🚲 I quickly sold out of my Hey Doug/Grim Rider tees right after our provincial election… which was encouraging to see—all things considered, of course. Stay tuned for another run in the next few weeks.
🪄The weight of said election led to something a lot more whimsical for The Localist last week…turns out a floating café at/in the Forks is a popular idea.
🦋 I’ve been leaning into Bluesky lately, treating it like Twitter circa. 2010 with posts about food and music and—as mentioned above—a Blue Jays future without Vladdy.
